Life.Church is a multi-campus Christian church and the creator of the YouVersion Bible App, a free platform that helps millions of people around the world read, listen to, and engage with the Bible every day.

In 2024, Life.Church and PlainJoe, a Storyland Studio, partnered with Beaudry Interactive to help transform a creative vision into a fully realized immersive visitor center – Bible Impact Experience – at the YouVersion headquarters in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Working collaboratively with the project team, Beaudry Interactive helped shape how guests would engage with the story of YouVersion through interactive experience design, interface design (UX/UI), technical systems design, software development, and show control integration. Our team translated conceptual ideas into engaging, intuitive experiences that balanced storytelling, technology, and operational reliability.

From experience design and technical planning through software development, systems integration, installation, programming, and commissioning, Beaudry Interactive delivered an immersive environment where storytelling and technology work together to inspire visitors and celebrate the global impact of the YouVersion Bible App.

ARRIVAL EXPERIENCE

The journey begins before guests interact with a single exhibit.

Large-format LED displays welcome visitors with inspiring imagery before transitioning into an immersive projection-mapped theater. Here, synchronized projection, audio, lighting, and show control establish the mission and impact of YouVersion, setting the emotional tone for the experience that follows. This opening sequence serves as the foundation for the Bible Impact Experience, introducing guests to YouVersion’s vision of reaching Everyone. Every Day. Everywhere.

EVERYONE GALLERY

Personal stories are at the heart of the Everyone gallery.

Throughout the space, Proto holographic displays paired with interactive touchscreens invite visitors to hear authentic testimonies from individuals whose lives have been impacted through the YouVersion Bible App. Combining emerging display technology with intuitive interactive design creates deeply personal storytelling moments that celebrate faith, transformation, and community.

Beaudry Interactive designed the experience around a flexible content management system, allowing Life.Church to continually add new stories over time without modifying the software. This scalable platform ensures the experience continues to grow alongside the global YouVersion community.

EVERY DAY GALLERY

The Every Day gallery explores how regular engagement with Scripture can shape everyday life through a series of interactive, data-rich experiences.

Digital Sandbox

The Digital Sandbox extends the Bible App experience into a collaborative tabletop environment. Drawing inspiration from the app's visual language, interaction patterns, and brand identity, Beaudry Interactive designed a new interface that feels familiar to existing users while being purpose-built for a shared, large-format experience. The interactive integrates with YouVersion’s existing data infrastructure and Beaudry’s custom content management system, allowing content to remain dynamic while providing flexibility for future expansion.

Propelled by Partners

Behind the success of the YouVersion Bible App is a worldwide network of organizations working together to make Scripture more accessible. Propelled by Partners visualizes this collaborative ecosystem as a living constellation of animated partner bubbles that continuously move as a dynamic heat map. Selecting a partner reveals its story and impact metrics, illustrating how each organization contributes to expanding access to the Bible across the globe. This interactive integrates with YouVersion’s existing data infrastructure and a custom content management system, allowing content to remain dynamic while providing flexibility for future expansion.

Proven by Research

Proven by Research combines research with personal reflection through an interactive questionnaire exploring the impact of consistent Bible engagement. As visitors respond, they're invited to identify a meaningful next step in their own journey. Their commitment is then represented by an animated orb that joins a growing community of responses, creating a collective visualization of people pursuing the same mission.

Every Day Stats

Additional media and data integrations throughout the Every Day gallery connect visitors to YouVersion statistics and impact data via LED displays and digital signage.

EVERYWHERE GALLERY

The Everywhere gallery illustrates the extraordinary global reach of the YouVersion Bible App through an immersive digital globe experience.

Beaudry Interactive helped define the interaction strategy and technical infrastructure required to bring the visualization to life, establishing the relationship between interactive controls, media systems, and show control architecture to create an intuitive and seamless guest experience.  Behind the scenes, our team developed the framework connecting touch displays, a curved LED display, and media playback to support a dynamic representation of YouVersion’s worldwide impact.

Show Control & Systems Integration

While each exhibit delivers its own unique story, the true innovation of the Visitor Center lies in the integrated technology that brings experience together. Beyond designing and developing the individual interactives, Beaudry Interactive engineered the technological backbone that connects the entire Visitor Center - integrating centralized show control, custom content management, AV, interactive media, lighting, audio, LED displays, projection, and sensors into one synchronized system. The result is a seamless visitor journey where technology quietly supports the storytelling, creating an immersive and emotionally engaging experience.
