INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Much of the work at Beaudry Interactive is project-based. We conceive, design and develop unique location-based experiences for theme parks and attractions, cultural and art centers, and educational institutions. We also collaborate with other companies while providing our technical expertise and know-how. Our creative and technical projects can be of varying scale, complexity and media sensitivity, often with overlapping deadlines and running in parallel, with many projects requiring tight coordination with our clients, collaborators and freelancers.

VISUAL DESIGN INTERNSHIP AT BEAUDRY INTERACTIVE

 

At Beaudry interactive, the Visual Design intern will have the opportunity to gain insight into various leading brands and get experience working with top industry leaders at the forefront of innovation and creativity. We are looking for a passionate Visual Designer to help support and contribute to the creative development and production processes at Beaudry Interactive. As the Visual Design Intern, you will perform a variety of creative and production tasks that varying projects will require. Responsibilities may include working closely with the Creative Lead on internal and external design projects. Tasks vary from creating concept artwork and marketing materials, developing pitch presentation documents, prototypes and programming assets, design research and fabrication support, as examples.   

  

START DATE: The internship will run early June – September 2021

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Visual Design & Desktop Publishing

  • Contribute to design solutions by participating in brainstorming sessions, storyboarding and concept sketches

  • Develop and iterate on designs per notes and feedback from company Principles and Project Leads

Iterative Collaboration, Production, and QA Testing

  • Work with team members to design, produce, and test creative ideas

  • Partner with Developers to develop and format assets for games and interactives

  • Able to perform various production tasks to create preliminary prototypes and comp tests

  • Able to perform extensive QA testing for games and interactives

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be based in Los Angeles

  • 1-2 years' experience in the field of graphic design or a field related to one of Beaudry Interactive areas of focus is a plus

  • Currently enrolled in, or graduate of a relevant design program

  • Experience creating original, compelling designs for products, promotions and interactive platforms

  • Ability to hand sketch concepts and design ideas

  • Experience performing design research and benchmarking tasks

  • Available digital portfolio showcasing samples of your creative development thought process, drawing styles, as well as an eye for typography, photography and current design trends (Online portfolio or PDF portfolio formats accepted)

  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
    (After Effects, Premiere, motion design, 3D modeling and SketchUp experience, all a plus!)

  • A passion for visual storytelling and creating experiences that resonate on an emotional level 

  • Solid organizational skills including strong attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision to reach objectives

  • Reliable and able to prioritize project tasks; good work ethic a must!

  • Ability to follow directions

  • Positive team player with a willingness to learn and help team members as needed

  • Comfortable sketching and drawing on the fly a plus

  • Collaborative abilities with strong communication and critical evaluation skills

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing work situations

  

SPECIFIC WORK CONDITIONS 

  • Flexible work schedule, availability required outside of normal working hours

  • Work will be on-site at b/i’s location in North Hollywood.
