We are looking for an experienced technologist with excellent Unity skills to work with us on advancing interactive software and hardware. You will work closely with b/i’s principals and engage with our technical and multimedia projects from conception through development and implementation. Desired candidates will be technical experts who also will have an eye for design and creative aesthetic. This is an on-site position. You will be required to work most of your hours at the b/i office in North Hollywood. 



  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions 

  • Implement concepts and artistic intentions specific to a project, through application of creative technologies 

  • Implement programs to specifications, with proper error checking and adequate performance 

  • Work in collaboration with a small development team to overcome project challenges and further projects from technical, as well as creative, point of view 

  • Consult with managers, artists, and other team members to ensure software represents the intentions of the client 

  • Produce clear documentation of completed work and maintenance requirements 

  • Stay up to date with new interactive technologies, researching their capabilities and limitations 



  • Degree in MAT, Entertainment Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia Technologies or a related field or 4+ years of professional experience 

  • Mastery of Unity game engine 

  • 3+ years of professional Unity experience 

  • 3+ years of professional C# development 

  • Experience with TCP/IP and UDP in C# .NET and/or Unity 

  • Comfort with version control, especially Git 

  • Excel working independently, or as part of a team 

  • Ability to learn new skills on the job and impart new skills to less senior developers 

  • Some travel may be required 



  • Experience with Arduino microcontrollers, sensors and other methods of human-computer interaction

  • Familiarity with TOUCHDESIGNER or projection mapping 

  • Familiarity with MAX/MSP 

  • Web and Mobile development experience 

  • Experience with relevant communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MIDI, DMX, OSC, etc.) 

  • Experience with RFID readers or Bluetooth LE beacons 

  • Previous work in themed entertainment
